Overview
The EmPower solutions will provide companies that do business with the government the ability to effectively meet all the standard requirements that are inherent in the business. Some examples of these standard requirements include:

Features
The following products are being used with the Kinetek solution.
Contributor: to provide an input mechanism for project-based budgeting and for the calculation of labor utilization, direct and indirect costs, rates, revenue, and backlog.
Metric Studio: to display financial metrics, burn rates, and indirect rate metrics.
Analysis Studio: to analyze status information on the delays in receiving parts and other manufacturing metrics, as well as for analyzing labor utilization.
Report Studio: to display standard government forms such as NASA 533s, SF1034s and1035s, Incurred Cost Submission forms, and Forward Pricing Submission forms.
Event Studio: to display delays during the manufacturing process, as well as contractual funding issues, along with the standard financial events.
Architecture
The Kinetek solution is completely integrated with the Cognos 8 suite of products and leverages the Cognos 8 architecture. The solution is comprised of a series of reports, cubes, metrics, and models that can be implemented via standard deployment imports, once the Cognos 8 environment has successfully been installed and configured.
The solution also delivers additional standard Cognos metadata that sits on a network drive and can be accessed by the Cognos client server tools (Framework Manager, Analyst, Transformer, etc.).
The only aspect of the solution's architecture that is not contained within the Cognos suite is the data repository which requires an installation on an approved database platform (Oracle or MS SQL Server) and population via SQs.
