IBM Cognos Manufacturing: Sales and Operations Planning Performance Blueprint
The Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Performance Blueprint enables organizations to standardize their S&OP process using an integrated performance management solution. The S&OP Blueprint provides the ability to monitor the S&OP process on an ongoing basis using scorecards, dashboards and analytics while providing the planning functionality to adjust plans on an as-needed basis. The S&OP Blueprint standardizes the process of reconciling sales and demand plans and balancing critical resources within the supply and distribution plans. It also facilitates periodic executive review of performance and helps ensure enterprise-wide alignment among people, plans and processes. Also inherent in the Blueprint is the ability to model and assess the financial impact of different supply and demand scenarios.
The Blueprint consists of three modules:
S&OP Baseline Module: Demand and Production Supply Model
Reconcile sales and demand forecasts with supply plans, using a single, integrated performance management framework.
S&OP Distribution Module: Distribution and Fulfillment Model
Test various factors in the distribution planning process and determine whether resources and budget will meet demand.
S&OP Executive Review Module: Executive Review Model
Link sales, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing and finance for executive review of performance against plans.

IBM Cognos Manufacturing: Trade Promotion Management Performance Blueprints
This Blueprint enables brand and category managers as well as sales executives to evaluate multiple trade promotion scenarios, helping to effectively plan promotional activities that will lead to the greatest increases in sales and margins.

- RELEASE 1 Data Models will work with IBM Cognos Planning version 7.3 or earlier.
- RELEASE 2 Data Models will work with IBM Cognos Planning version 7.3 or higher.
